Feed the Hungry at Village Baptist Church

$1 GIVEN TURNS INTO $3.10: Two foundations and a local family are supporting a matching program that turns every $1 given into $3.10 to feed needy local families. Last year’s matching program and the wonderful gifts we received were the reasons the pantry stayed open all year, and we were able to do so much.

Thanks for Helping Us Feed so Many People This Past Year

     Let us share a few examples of who you helped:

     Jen apologized when we gave her toys and Christmas food because she had to take a moment to move around clothes and toiletries in the car where she sleeps during the week. Monday through Friday she lives in her vehicle while she works a new job in the West Palm Beach area. Weekends she returns to Port St. Lucie where she and her daughter stay with her aunt. Jen can't afford the gas to go back and forth daily. She is trying as hard as she can to hold her family together, and with your help we made sure they had a little Christmas.

     This was Leigh's last Christmas. After a long struggle the doctors said he had just a little time left. His wife wanted to enjoy a few holiday meals with him, but she is too frail to cook. That's where one of our volunteers stepped in and cooked food they could eat so they could have a last Christmas together.

     All together, well over 3,000 children received toys Christmas morning and some even got bikes.

     Almost 2,500 families including more than 10,000 individuals all over PB County received wonderful meat, produce, bread and canned and dry goods.

     And, this was just Christmas, with your help we are making a difference throughout the year.

     Without God's constant provision, the support of Village Baptist Church and its staff and wonderful volunteers, sponsors and prayer partners none of this would be accomplished. God Bless You All!
